Girls Who Leap: Lead To Empower & Act with Purpose Society is excited to announce an incredible opportunity for our youth to showcase their leadership skills and continue their altruism that is the corner stone of our GWL pillars. Over the next few years, we will be supporting 90 micro-grants funded in part by Canada Service Corps, a national movement that empowers youth aged 12–30 to gain experience and build important skills while giving back to their community. Important Project Requirements: (1) If you are between the ages of 12-18, the project must have an adult sponsor or partner organization. (2) If you are under the age of 18, the funds may be provided through the adult sponsor/partnering organization, if needed. (3) Microgrants are $2500 in value; all receipts (either original or scanned copies) must be kept and provided to Girls Who LEAP. (4) Completion of an interim report and a final impact report. The interim report can be completed any time between the start to the mid-point of the project. (5) $1875 (75%) of the $2500 will be provided following completion of the interim report; the remaining $650 (25%) will be provided following completion of the final impact report. Should your community project require up-front payment for goods/services, Girls Who LEAP can cover these costs directly, if needed.
